A rollercoaster few days. An article appeared in the paper about me on Saturday and I had no idea it was going to be published so that was a good surprise which is great publicity for the Trust. Sadly none of that helps with the loss of my little terrier Mr Widget on Sunday who was killed. He was so much part of my life, we shared the closest bond and went everywhere together. The loss is almost unbearable, but I am trying to hang on to all the wonderful memories he has left me with and my other little guy Chalks is keeping me sane right now while my wonderful friends are sending messsages and ambushing me with distraction tactics. When you don’t have kids these little guys are your whole world. Widge got me through so much and he will be with me always. I thought it would help me to put a little pic of him up on this blog as he was such a big part of my life.

I am so sorry for your loss. My 11-year-old Wheaten terrier mix, Mina, is my very best friend and I love her more than most people love their kids. Mr. Widget was a beauty and maybe it will help to think that he’ll always be by your side. That’s how I intend to think of Mina some day when she’s gone to heaven. Again, I’m so sorry.

Oh, Mr. Widget. What a beautiful little guy he was. I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s so tough to lose our best friends, espescially when they seem to be extra special is some way, as Mr. Widget was. I lost my special little bobtail siamese cat Bandit, unexpectedly a year ago this month. He was such a little force of nature. He was just a special little guy. It was so hard to lose him. We had a special bond. He was a young ferrell cat that just adopted us one day and we instantly fell in love. I like to think that he was here to teach or show me something and I know he is still here with me. I’m glad you have Chalks to help you through this. We have Bandit’s ferrell brother, Long Tom that we look after, though he is not as sweet as Bandit was, it’s still a comfort. Know that my thoughts are with you at this time. Lisa

Oh Susie…I am so sorry about Mr. Widget, what a sweetie. My husband and I do not have children, just two cats and a turtle…we love them dearly…my husband lost both of his dogs a few years ago and was just heartbroken….still is, but is helped along by all his wonderful memories of them. Hugs going out to you and Chalks.

Dear Susie, I´m terrible sorry about your little one! I can understand you in your feeling. I have some cats and dogs and they are just like my sons, and I know how it feels…

Susie, little Mr. Widget has a new home, in your heart for eternity. Your grief and pain will prove valuable down the road, for it will strengthen your bond the two of you shared and help keep his memories vivid. Believe me, I know.
